Alaa Eddine Aljem was born in Rabat in 1988, and studied cinema at EsavM and at Insas in Brussels. He has directed and produced several films that have been selected for numerous festivals around the world. In 2019, he directed and produced The Unknown Saint (2019), which had its world premiere in La Semaine de la Critique section at Cannes. In 2022, he joined the production on the American remake of his film The Unknown Saint, which will be produced by Crasnoff/Foster Entertainment. The same year, he was named Chevalier des Arts des Lettres of the French Republic.
