Atlas Distribution Awards

Atlas Distribution Awards have been created to support and promote the distribution and circulation in Morocco, the Arab world, and the African continent, of films that are directed by talents from these regions and that are selected to be screened at the Marrakech International Film Festival. Cash support is provided to the distributors of the selected films to assist with their theatrical release strategy in at least two countries in the Arab world and/or the African continent.

MACHTAT by Sonia Ben Slama (Tunisia)

MORA IS HERE by Khalid Zairi (Morocco)

MORROCAN BADASS GIRL by Hicham Lasri (Morocco)

TRIPLE A by Jihane El Bahhar (Morocco)

The Mother of All lies by Asmae El Moudir, winner of the Atlas Workshops Development Award in 2019 and the Post-Production Award in 2021, wins the Directing Prize at the Un certain regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.

Hounds by Kamal Lazraq, winner of the ArteKino International Prize in 2019, wins the Jury Prize at the Un certain regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.
