Yumna Marwan is an actor and director from Beirut. She has performed for over a decade in a wide variety of roles in independent films across the Arab world, among them two features by Ghassan Salhab and two by Mounia Akl. Yumna crossed over from the Arab industry and took two lead roles in foreign television series; opposite Juno Temple in Little Birds and Elisabeth Moss in The Veil. Before her film career, she studied anthropology and creative writing and worked as a journalist. She is in the completion stages of Prisoner of Love, her second short film as a writer and director.
