Dora Bouchoucha has been a film producer since 1994. She has produced and co-produced several Award-winning documentaries, short and feature films. She is actively involved in training and promotion for southern cinema. She founded the Carthage Film Festival Projects’ workshop in 1992 and Takmil in 2014. She also founded Sud Ecriture, which she has been running since. She was head of Fonds Sud and President of the CNC Aide Aux Cinémas du Monde. She was head of Carthage Film Festival in 2008, 2010 and 2014. She was member of the Berlinale jury for feature films and of the debut feature films at the Venice Mostra. She received a career achievement award at Gouna Film Festival and Luxor African film festival in Egypt, Salé Festival in Morocco and at Med Film Festival in Rome. She was the director of Manarat, Mediterranean festival in Tunisia. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In June 2021, she was named Vice President of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
