The founder of the Coproduction Office, Philippe Bober has produced forty-three films to date, 13 of which premiered in competition at the Festival de Cannes, two of them winning the Palme d’Or: Ruben Östlund’s The Square (2017) and Triangle of Sadness (2022). “The auteurs I work with have the most personal, original ideas and working methods. As a producer, I support them in pushing the borders of cinematic language, while engaging audiences,” Bober notes. He has maintained long-lasting and productive relationships with auteurs Roy Andersson, Michelangelo Frammartino, Jessica Hausner, Ilya Khrzhanovskiy, Ruben Östlund, Carlos Reygadas, and Ulrich Seidl, whose films have won other major awards at Cannes and the Berlin and Venice International Film Festivals. The Coproduction Office’s sales catalog also comprises restorations of masterpieces by the likes of Roberto Rossellini and Konrad Wolf.
