Safae Lahgazi Alaoui

Safae Lahgazi Alaoui is a self-made filmmaker who uses her creative survival instinct to heal, grow and evolve. She discovered her passion for filmmaking in the independent cinema industry of Atlanta, Georgia. After receiving a fellowship from Visionary Justice Storylab in 2020, she made her first short fiction film Aisha & Khadija (2022). She participated in Moroccan Stories by Fidadoc and the Scottish Documentary Institute where she co-directed & edited her first short documentary film, My Hair is the View (2024), currently on the festival circuit.
