After studying business, finance, and cinema, Grégoire Melin began his career in the film industry at Gaumont, then joined EuropaCorp on its launch, where he headed up international sales. In 2008, he founded Kinology, an international sales company that was soon representing some of the most ambitious feature films of recent years, among them Rodrigo Cortés' Buried (2010), Juan Solanas’s Upside Down (2012), Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers (2012), David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis (2012), Michel Gondry’s The We and the I (2012) and The Book of Solutions (2023), Ana Lily Amirpour’s A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014), Deniz Gamze Ergüven’s Mustang (2015), Leos Carax’s Annette (2021), Nanni Moretti’s A Brighter Tomorrow (2023), Bertrand Bonello’s The Beast (2023), and Luc Besson’s Dogman (2023). Melin is also a producer, notably of Antonio Negret’s action film Overdrive (2017), Mathias Malzieu’s A Mermaid in Paris (2020), and Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018). Since 2021, he has chaired the Film Exporters Association (ADEF).
