Three films supported by the Atlas Workshops selected in Cannes this year.

Mo Harawe’s THE VILLAGE NEXT TO PARADISE, presented at the 2023 Atlas Workshops where it was awarded the Atlas Post-production Prize, is in the official selection at the 77th Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard.

At the Semaine de la Critique, Moroccan director Saïd Hamich Benlarbi premieres LA MER AU LOIN (Special screening). The film was just recently part of the 2023 edition of the Atlas Workshops. In competition, Egyptian directors Nada Riyadh and Ayman El Amir bring their long-awaited film RAFAAT EINY LL SAMA to the big screen after having passed through the Workshops in 2021.

The Mother of All lies by Asmae El Moudir, winner of the Atlas Workshops Development Award in 2019 and the Post-Production Award in 2021, wins the Directing Prize at the Un certain regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.

Hounds by Kamal Lazraq, winner of the ArteKino International Prize in 2019, wins the Jury Prize at the Un certain regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.
