Born in 1962 - Eric Lagesse started at PYRAMIDE in 1992. He was a sales agent for 12 years and became Managing Director of PYRAMIDE’s group in 1994, running both the French distribution and the world sales branches. In 2008, he became President of PYRAMIDE, acquiring the company from Fabienne Vonier. PYRAMIDE releases and sells worldwide approximately 15 films a year. PYRAMIDE works with renowned directors such as Céline Sciamma, Philippe Faucon, Andrei Zviaguintsev, Emmanuel Mouret, Patricio Guzman… and ccompanies numerous first-time directors. Most recently, PYRAMIDE bought the 2022 Golden Bear Alcarras by Carla Simon and the 2022 Golden Lion All the beauty and the bloodshed by Laura Poitras. Eric Lagesse is also copresident of the DIRE, Independent French distributors union since 2010.
