After studying literature, Delphine Agut studied Philosophy and Cinema at the Sorbonne. She began writing short films while working as a programmer for international film festivals. She co-wrote Sophie Letourneur’s La Vie au ranch, which was presented at the Festival de Cannes in 2011, then After the War by Annarita Zambrano, the screenplay for which was awarded the Jury Prize at the Screenplay Awards in 2016. The film was selected for Cannes the following year. Agut also works as a screenwriter for television, notably on seasons 4 and 5 of SKAM France (2020), as well as Le Signal series by François Uzan and produced by Haumont for Paramount+, while continuing to develop feature film projects, among them Laila Marrakchi’s Les Fraises, Danielle Arbid’s Des châteaux qui brûlent, Boris Lojkine’s L’Histoire de Souleymane… Agut has also co-written Amjad Al Rasheed’s Inshallah A Boy, selected at the 2023 Cannes Semaine de la Critique.
