Virginie Devesa was born in Avignon (France) and lived some years abroad studying and working. She created Alpha Violet world sales in 2011 together with Keiko Funato. Her experiences in the United States, in Ukraine and in Russia as well as her previous jobs as Sales manager with Celluloid Dreams and Urban Distribution Intl. have led her path towards the creation of her own label with the desire to promoting creative Arthouse feature films linked with a close relationship with their producers and filmmakers. Alpha Violet’s editorial line focuses on 5 to 6 films per year, and dedicated mainly to 1st films, women filmmakers and confirmed talents with strong and authentic voices. In 2020, Alpha Violet has worked on Identifying Features by Fernanda Valadez (Mexico, 1st film, Sundance),  Apples by Christos Nikou (Greece, 1st film, Venice Orizzonti and Greek entry to the Oscars 2021), and Abu Omar by Roy Krispel (Israel, 1st film, Tokyo IFF).
